Venice Man Targets 81-Year-Old's House in Home Burglary

A 23-year-old man was arrested on a warrant this week in Charlotte County after being connected with a home burglary that took place in 2007.

The suspect is accused of taking part in a break-in where $485 was stolen as the elderly woman slept. According to reports, the suspect and four friends took the woman’s stolen Buick Century to Portland, Maine.

The same suspect and two individuals were also accused of being connected to a number of thefts and burglaries in Maine, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
