Homeowner Awakes to Find Burglar in His Home
The homeowner with his wife and young daughter were sleeping when the man woke up after hearing a noise in the kitchen. Going downstairs he walked into the kitchen and turned the light on to discover the stranger standing in front of him.
He then chased the man out the back door where another man was waiting. According to a police report, the two men ran away.
Police then responded to a call of two suspicious people walking in the area. They were eventually picked up, one of whom was a 15-year-old boy. The second suspect was a 25-year-old male responsible for breaking into the home and two others in Lincolnton over the course of two days.
In order for homeowners to maintain their safety against would-be thieves they should make sure that the necessary safety steps have been put into place to ensure that they don’t get in. One way of doing this is by installing a security alarm.
Another way is to always make sure that you have a canister of pepper spray on hand. So should you hear a noise in the night, you can quickly guard yourself against an intruder who has just broken into your home with the intention of stealing from you.
No homeowner should have to fear that someone could potentially break into their home while they sleep. But, by taking the measures to begin with they can ensure that should someone get in they can protect themselves from harm.
In today’s society it is important that homeowners take the steps to properly protect themselves so that they are always ready for instant action should it be necessary for them to defend themselves.
Knowing that the required protective measures are on hand means that homeowners can stay confident. It also means that anyone who does decide to target their home won’t find it easy to do so to get what they want just to make a quick sale for some quick money.
