Police Use Stun Gun to Apprehend Man in Center Grove

A Johnson County sheriff’s deputy employed a stun gun on a man from the area of Center Grove after he threatened two women and failed to obey police orders.The 59-year-old man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication, intimidation and resisting an officer.

A woman called the police around 2 a.m. on Sunday after the man in question became upset. According to a police report, he had been yelling, swearing and throwing things. Two women then ran into a room to call police, but the suspect kicked in the door where he then began to break things.

They then managed to get outside where they begged the officer to let them in his police car. The officer saw a man following them who was walking towards him in an aggressive manner. He then yelled for the man to stop at least three times, but the man kept walking towards him.

The officer then fired his self defense device, putting the man under police arrest.

With the use of stun guns police are able to bring control to a situation that would otherwise be difficult to achieve if another form of device was used instead. In this day and age, it is important for police to know that they have the means of protection on them that will bring about the effective results they are after in the situations that they find themselves in.

In this case, the use to of the police stunning tool proved very effective at stopping the man from harming the two women concerned. It also helped to prevent the suspect from harming himself too.
