A Deming teenager is being honored after saving a seven-year-old boy from a dog attack.

The 15-year-old hero fought the dogs off the young boy with only the aid of her key chain. As a result of the dog attack the boy suffered bites to his neck and head, but survived the incident.

A ceremony is to be held on Thursday at the Santa Teresa border patrol station to honor the girl.
