Police Report Series of Burglaries in Central Pearland Subdivision
According to police reports, the thieves kicked in the front door before quickly running in and grabbing whatever items they could lay their hands on. It appears that they didn’t take any time to search the homes to find valuable items. Property such as electronic items and flat-screen televisions were the main targets.
Police are asking those who live in the subdivision to follow home-safety precautions. Not only that, but homeowners are being asked to avoid leaving flat-screen TV boxes or boxes indicating other expensive items outside for the trash collection.
Authorities have assigned undercover officers to be in the area during the daylight hours and residents are being urged to keep an eye on their neighborhood and to report anything suspicious to the police.
In this day and age with the number of homes being broken into it is important for homeowners to put into place the necessary safety precautions that will prevent thieves from targeting their homes.
There are several ways in which homeowners are doing this. Namely, they are installing security alarms, which act as a major deterrent to would-be thieves scanning a neighborhood. Another way of stopping thieves is by installing motion detector lights and placing gravel around the property to alert homeowners and neighbors of someone walking around the house.
For residents concerned about their safety inside the home when they are there they should think about purchasing Michigan pepper spray. This self defense spray canister has become the perfect alternative to a person’s safety as brute force is not required when used.
Furthermore, because the canister is non-lethal it is safe to use on the person targeted, as it will only temporarily subdue them, but will leave enough time for the homeowner to call for police assistance in their hours of need. Homeowners should not have to worry about becoming victims in their own home and now they don’t have to with the help from a handy canister of spray nearby.
