Colorado Horseback Rider is Subdued by Police TASER Gun

Steamboat Springs police say that they had to employ a police TASER gun on a horseback rider after his involvement in a disturbance at a downtown bar Sunday night.

According to police reports, the man in question was arrested after ignoring commands from officers. Police were initially called to the scene of the Old Town Pub after receiving reports of a disturbance.

One of the patrons inside the bar captured a photo of a woman on a horse inside, but when police arrived the riders had gone.

Shortly afterwards, police were able to locate the riders. One of the riders was arrested on suspicion of harassment, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

As a result of the assistance from the police self defense device, officers were able to effectively apprehend the man in question without further incident. Nowadays, it’s not uncommon for police to have an array of units on hand designed to protect them when they require it the most.
