Putnamville Detective's Home Burglarized with Guns Stolen

The Criminal Investigation Division at the Putnamville Post is asking for help from the public in relation to the investigation of a home burglary at Danville.

The home burglary victim is an Indian State Police detective. Between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 2:40 p.m Tuesday, an unknown individual or individuals broke into the house by forcing open the front door. Once inside they removed numerous firearms and televisions.

The items stolen included a Harrington and Richardson single-shot 12 gauge shotgun, a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun with a pistol grip, a Winchester Pump .22 caliber long rifle, a Remington semi-auto .22 caliber long rifle, a Russian Nagant M44 bolt-action rifle and a French MAS 49/56 308 semi-auto rifle.

Other items taken consisted of handcuffs, an Indiana State Police uniform duty belt with two 9-millimeter magazines and a collection of law enforcement items.
