Epping Forest Residents Warned Over Home Burglaries

Homeowners in Epping Forest have been targeted in a number of home burglaries with police urging residents to take extra precautionary measures when it comes to protecting their property.

Nine homes were targeted by thieves across the west of Essex at the start of the week. Christmas presents, handbags, money and a car were stolen after thieves managed to gain access to a home by putting their hands and other implements through the letterbox to open the door from the inside.

As a result of this, police have urged homeowners to place a metal cage to their letterboxes and deadlocks on the front doors at night to prevent burglars from getting inside.
