Home Burglary Suspect Apprehended with Police Stun Gun
When police caught their suspect they discovered the homeowner’s ID in the thief’s pocket. At the time of the incident the homeowner was at home when the burglar decided to target the property.
Upon seeing the thief gain access through a hole in his fenced-in yard the homeowner fled and called the police. When police arrived at the scene they found the thief taking a stereo out to a waiting car.
Even though the officer tried to detain the suspect, the suspect fled on foot. As a result of this, two officers chased him, which saw the suspect then jump a fence. At this point a third officer joined the chase and subsequently employed his electronic stunning tool to apprehend their suspect.
Thankfully, with the help from stun guns police are able to effectively apprehend those who try to steal from others. Nowadays, there are more police departments turning their attention to these tools as they provide the ideal answer to self defense.
Not only that, but because they are safe to utilize they won’t harm the person targeted, which means that people who are using them for their protection don’t have to worry about the repercussions involved compared to if a traditional firearm was used instead.
When it comes to the protection of others, police need to know that what they have on hand to help them out will provide the best results possible when needed. They can rest assured that when it comes to stunning weapons they are using a device that has been designed with safety in mind.
Furthermore, with the use of them instead of firearms, brute force is not a requirement. In fact, contact between an officer and their suspect is eliminated as the stunning device does the work of apprehending the person in question for them.
This means that instead of taking time off work to recover from injuries sustained while working, police can now spend more time on the streets tackling crime and making sure that members of the public are safe.
