Home Burglaries Target Placer County

Rocklin officials are urging residents to remain alert after a recent rise in home burglaries was reported in the area.

From September 2011 to December 2011, officials say that 60 homes were broken into. The County of Placer, Loomis and Granite Bay, in addition to the cities of Citrus and Folsom Heights have also experienced an increase.

The properties targeted were all broken into the same way with thieves kicking in the front door and smashing the rear sliding door window.
