Menlo Park Police Say Six Home Burglaries May be Linked
Police believe that the burglaries are linked and are dealing with the same suspect or suspects. Four of the break-ins took place on East Creek Place, about a mile from City Hall. According to a police blotter, the victims of the burglaries are not yet aware of what has actually been stolen.
In two of the burglaries, the point of entry was through a window. In the second it was simply an unlocked sliding glass door that provided access to the home and in the fourth, it is suspected, that the suspect entered through a dog flap. Before leaving, the suspect is alleged to have grabbed some food from the fridge.
In two of the other home burglaries, bigger losses were reported. At one home, the thief or thieves managed to cut a hole in the window to enter the house where they stole $100 in cash along with jewelry that was worth over $4,000.
In the second home the suspect or suspects gained entry through an unlocked sliding glass door where they stole $140 in cash and jewelry that is reported to be worth $4,200.
In this day and age, it is important for homeowners to realize that they need to take measures to ensure their safety and to keep hold of their possessions. For homeowners that are concerned about their safety they should think about purchasing a TASER.
This self defense device has become a popular unit to own for a person’s protection as it won’t harm the person targeted. This means that even homeowners who are worried about the injuries inflicted on a burglar when they protect themselves from the thief, can rest assured that they won’t harm them.
Instead, they will simply apprehend the person who will remain subdued long enough for the homeowner to call 911 where the police will take away the burglar. No one should have to be in fear that their home will become the target of a thief and now they don’t have to with the use of a self defense device that has been created with providing maximum protection at the press of a button.
