Has a Big Cat been Sighted in the Cotswold?
The ‘wild cat of Woodchester’ is feared to have struck again after a mutilated carcass of a second deer was located in a country field.
The carcass was discovered a few miles where the big cat is alleged to have struck in Woodchester Park near Gloucestershire.
The carcass was found by a woman who was taking her dog for a walk. Walking back home to retrieve her camera she then went back to take a picture, but upon return the deer had been stripped down to its spine, with all its vital organs missing – a similar state to the first carcass that was discovered.
Experts have reason to believe that the deer was taken down and eaten by a large and powerful predator such as a leopard, puma or jaguar.
While the appearance of a wild cat in the English countryside is still up for debate, it does show that taking measures to maintain a person’s safety should not be pushed aside as mere trivialities.
In parts of the US, there is much bear activity that requires hikers as well as those who live around national parks to consider their safety against potential bear encounters. In order to avoid such an encounter it is important for people to think about the ways in which they can better protect themselves.
For this to be achieved they should think about purchasing bear spray. This self defense spray canister is the ideal self defense device to own as it is easy to carry and is a non-lethal device that is safe to use.
Not only that, but because it is a compact device to have on hand it means that people can stay safe wherever they are. Simply knowing that it is nearby will provide those, who need it, with the confidence to know that they are guarded whatever comes their way.
No one should have to fear a bear encounter, but by having bear spray on them they will know that they are always one step ahead and ready for such a situation if it should present itself to them when in bear territory.
