The woman instructed her mother to pull over so that they could help. She reached into her diaper bag to retrieve the TASER gun. As onlookers gathered around the altercation, the woman asked the police officer if he wanted her to use her brandished TASER gun.

When the police officer confirmed that he would like assistance the woman shot the TASER gun towards the suspect’s arms and legs. The police officer had been disabled by the suspect when the suspect rubbed pepper spray into the police officer’s face and eyes and took away the police officer’s radio.

The woman used the TASER gun to disable the suspect long enough for the police officer to recover from the attacks and be in a position to fight back. Soon afterwards a security guard came to help subdue the man.

The woman doesn’t think of herself as a hero, simply as a bystander doing the right thing. She said of the police officer, “He’s brave. He did his best to keep his attacker from getting his gun. He handled the situation very well. I was just glad I could help him.”

The woman’s quick thinking and timely intervention prevented further injury and/or death in a high stakes police situation. The TASER gun was, indeed, a timely present!

In St. Joseph, Missouri, a man named Nathaniel Hood, Jr. had been having some drinks at a tavern. Another man and woman had been having an argument outside and for some unknown reason and Mr. Hood decided to punch the other man. The man was knocked unconscious. Hood then threw the woman to the ground.

When the nearby police showed up, Mr. Hood tried to flee. The officers found it necessary to use a Taser to stop him. It was a good thing that they did too because there was a warrant for his arrest. Mr. Hood also had a history of full of varying charges.

Elsewhere, in Ohio, a man named Brent Hilson had a police car pull in behind him. The lights started flashing but Hilson didn’t want to pull over, I guess because he had four warrants out for his arrest.

The police chased him and after setting up road blocks, they finally got him to stop. But he wasn’t ready to give up quite yet. He still refused to cooperate with the police. He put up a fight until the police used a Taser to subdue him. Because of the chase, a number of other charges were added on top of his warrants.

Once again, Tasers have helped to clean up the streets. The arrest of wanted criminals can be difficult, but Tasers help police do their jobs better and less dangerously.

A man from Ohio named Michael Carver was recently arrested on charges of robbery, resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer of the law. This only happened after a car chase and Carver fleeing on foot.

When he left his car and started to run, a local police officer fired his Taser gun at Carver. It struck him and incapacitated him, enabling the officer to place him under arrest.

While Michael Carver was a blatant criminal, another man in Chicago wasn’t exactly a criminal. While his behavior was dangerous to himself and to others, he wasn’t technically a criminal. But nonetheless, a Taser was in order for use and it actually saved his life.

The Chicago man had been cutting himself with glass, apparently out of severe depression and mental stress. His behavior was both violent and erratic. When the police tried to calm him down, he continued to act in a violent way. The police wanted to help, but his behavior made it difficult for them to subdue his violence.

One of the officers pulled his Taser gun out and warned the man what he was about to do. The man didn’t change his behavior and he was stunned with the Taser gun. He was then taken to a hospital and checked into a mental health facility.

These stories are great examples of how Taser guns can stop criminals and save the lives of civilians. They are much better options to guns in many instances.

The murder suspect, Zachariah Williams, was a clearly deranged man. On March 9, Williams’ mother admitted him to a hospital for mental evaluation because he “lost his mind,” as she said. He had apparently been thinking that he was Marc Antony and his mother was Cleopatra.

The hospital told her he had schizophrenia and released him, only three hours after being admitted.

Then, on March 10, something happened. No one is sure exactly what happened, but it led to Williams stabbing a neighbor boy with a pair of scissors. The police were called and when they showed up, Williams stabbed one of the officers in the cheek with the same pair of scissors.

The officer who was stabbed pulled out his Taser and shot Williams, effectively immobilizing him. Fellow officers then subdued Williams and placed him in cuffs.

The young boy was rushed to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

This story is very tragic. My heart goes out to the family of the deceased eight year old. May they find peace.

The officer who used his Taser helped save himself, others, and even Williams. He could have used a gun and shot and killed Williams, but he didn’t. Now maybe Williams can get some much needed help. Serious help.

There was a routine traffic stop the other day. A man from Wilcox, Arizona and a Mexican national were in the vehicle. Officers thought that they were only dealing with a minor traffic violation. But, upon approaching the vehicle they found that they had stumbled onto something big.

When the police officer was speaking to the driver of the pickup truck, he smelled a familiar smell. He smelled marijuana. Police officers are trained to know the smell of marijuana for occasions just like this. When the officer looked in the back seat of the truck, he saw that there was a lot of marijuana. He had no idea that it was 300 pounds worth, but he could see that there was a lot.

He asked the driver to get out of the car. The driver complied well enough, but the passenger was a different story. The passenger didn’t want to go to jail. I guess he should have thought about that before he tried to help transport drugs, right?

The police officers had to use a stun gun to get the passenger to comply. It is kind of hard to remain incompliant when a stun gun is used.

Both men were taken into custody on very serious drug charges.

I am so glad that these men were caught. That really put a damper on things for all of those pot smoking criminals out there.

One student from a high school in Kentucky had been in some arguments and fights earlier in his school day earlier this week. One of his fights involved a teacher getting struck. In fact, he had had such a day filled with trouble that couple of police officers were called upon to escort the student to the school bus.

The officers were called in merely to help prevent anymore fighting. The student didn’t like this, however. He began getting belligerent with the officers and acting angry. They attempted to calm him, but he tried to punch one of the officers. They warned him to calm down or they would Taser him, but he refused and continued to act wild. Being within the bounds of the law, they used a Taser on him in order to stop him from any more violence.

A similar instance happened half way across the world in Australia. But this time there was a violent situation involving a 16 year old girl. She ended up kicking an officer and even kicked his Taser off of his belt. He picked it up and warned her to calm down.

The officers of this particular jurisdiction had had a great success with just warning people with the Taser. Usually people would back down. However, in this instance the girl continued to behave in a violent manner so the officer used the Taser.

Both of these teenagers were subdued with Tasers and didn’t have any serious injuries from the Tasers.

Stun guns have been a great alternative weapon to firearms. The Australian state of Queensland has had many successful arrests thanks to the use of stun guns. Now they are expanding their budget to make sure that every patrol car has a stun gun. This will keep their citizens from having to face a pistol and have their lives put in jeopardy.

The use of the stun gun has come under question in some places. Some people have died because of the use of stun guns but these people usually had serious health problems or were seriously doped up on drugs. Many, many, more people have been spared their lives thanks to stun guns.

The police use stun guns because they are less lethal than firearms. Stun guns are labeled “less lethal” because anything can cause anyone to die. There is no such thing as something being absolutely non-lethal. The use of stun guns is a much better alternative than a pistol.

So, I am very happy for the Australian state. They are making a very humane choice by supplying their officers with stun guns. While it may cost them a pretty penny to get them, I think that their citizens will agree that it is worth the price.

Maybe someday, the police won’t have to use guns at all. Maybe one day all they will need are stun guns. I think that that will be a beautiful day in the history of our world.

A man in Florida was having a hard time, and boy was it a hard time. He had had a wonderful life. He had his own business and made great money. He had a beautiful family too. But the economy started taking a turn for the worst and he lost his business. The financial difficulties caused problems in his marriage and ended up divorced and left estranged by his children.

He moved from his home Rhode Island to Tampa Bay, hoping for a new beginning in a warmer climate. But he couldn’t get work and ended up homeless on the street.

After being kicked out of an airport he had been sleeping in, he decided to take his own life. He went to a bridge that went over Tampa Bay and contemplated jumping. A local citizen saw him there and called the police.

The police talked with the man, but he wouldn’t back away from the edge. One officer eventually used his Taser in order to incapacitate the man and get him away from danger. As the man fell, two of the officers on the scene run up and caught him, easing his fall.

As the man was being put into an ambulance, he started to weep tears of relief. He had only wanted help. The officer who had used his Taser walked over to the man and told him that things would turn out okay then gave him a heart-felt hug. The man was then taken to a crisis center for some counseling.

When the police arrived on the scene, Colon was very feisty and belligerent. When the police tried to calm him down verbally, but Colon didn’t respond to this. Then, when one of the officers tried to grab him, Colon bit the officer on his hand!

This prompted another officer to pull out his Taser gun. The officer fired it and it hit Colon in the chest. But the five second burst did little to slow down Colon because he was wearing thicker clothing. Colon continued his irritated behavior and he even tried to take the Taser away from the officer.

At this, the officer backed up and then fired the Taser again, this time hitting Colon in the back. Once again, Colon continued to resist arrest. When the officer tried to zap Colon again, the darts came loose from the thick clothes he was wearing.

Finally, another officer deployed his Taser and zapped Colon a fourth time. This time he was finally stunned enough for officers to tackle him and arrest him.

He was taken to a hospital, which is standard procedure after a Taser deployment. The medical examiner found that Colon had no serious injuries and cleared him. Then Colon was hauled off to jail. Whew! What a day.

Morales had outstanding warrants for his arrest and had evaded the police for some time. But one night of drinking gave him away. A neighbor called the police due to his excessive intoxication and when the police showed up, Morales thought he could take them on.

Morales started to attack the police, but was stopped with a Taser gun. Most police officers are armed with Tasers for just such an occasion. Unfortunately, not all police have them. Thankfully though, more and more are being issued Taser guns.

In Altoona, Pennsylvania the police are finally ready to start using Tasers to deal with suspects who refuse to cooperate. This decision comes after assaults on officers more than doubled last year during arrests. If you want some numbers to help you understand, here you go.

The Altoona Police Department has 72 officers. In 2007, there were 113 assaults of officers. In 2008, there were 234 assaults on officers. If you do the math, that gives each officer at least 3 attacks. That is just way too much.

The police officers in the line of duty are out there keeping our cities and towns safe from crime. They need proper protection from suspects and at the same time they need to protect that suspect from mortal danger as best as they can. That’s why Taser guns are perfect for the job.
