Animal repellents are much better at protecting a person against a bear attack compared to a gun, according to a new report conducted by a biologist at Brigham Young University.
The biologist looked at over 250 aggressive bear encounters in Alaska and people and concluded that the use of caution and a self defense spray canister was just as effective as the use of a firearm.

A stun baton was employed on a man after he attacked a Kalama police officer after a chase downtown.
Two men who were acting suspiciously were confronted by the officer when the two men fled on foot. One of the individuals, a 19-year-old, was located a short while later and detained after a brief struggle.

Police TASERS have been used on a couple after police seized a sizable amount of bath salts, an illegal substance in the state of Virginia and Kentucky.
Police were called to a home where there were reports of bath salt abuse. A 28-year-old male and a 22-year-old female were taken into custody on a number of charges, including resisting arrest, drug possession and child endangerment.
